I recently visited Lothal a Harrappa (Indus Valley Civilization) site near Ahmedabad (about 70 km). I was sitting in a place where there were houses 5000 years ago. The houses built with perfect geometry shows their mastery. Lothal was excavated from February 13, 1955 to May 19, 1960 by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI). One can see that it was a trade centre with various industries such as
Bead making, Jewllery and Metallurgy.Lothal is situated near the village of Saragwala in the Dholka Taluka of Ahmedabad District.
